The Changshu Advanced Materials Industrial Park (AMIP) eco-tech wetland project is the first Sino-German cooperation constructed wetland project in Jiangsu. It is a wastewater treatment plant polishing project for chemical industrial park, with a design scale of 4000 t/d and total wetland area 3.5 ha. The project has been operating since 2014. The stable effluent quality has reached level IV of Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002, CODCr≤30mg/L, NH4+≤1.5mg/L, TP≤0.3mg/L) and formed a large area of wet and aquatic plant communities, constructing a good ecological wetland landscape and winning recognition from the clients and society. 

    In 2014 and 2016, the project became a field investigation site for two international conferences, 14" IWA International Conference on Wetland Systems for Water Pollution Control (CWS 2014) and 10th Intercol International Wetlands Conference. In 2016, Zhou Naixiang, the then NO1 of Suzhou led a team to inspect the project and expressed affirmation for it. In 2023, the project was selected as one of the "Top Ten Wetland Ecological Restoration Cases" in Suzhou.
